2022 Re-Tree Vermillion

The City of Vermillion is offering a discount on the purchase of a tree to be planted in “approved” locations in or near the boulevard.

This year’s offering is the Heritage Oak. This tree is a fast growing tree; once established, it can grow up to 2 feet per year. It can grow to be 60-feet tall with a 40-foot crown spread. The Heritage Oak offers a lot of shade and beautiful golden-yellow color in the fall.

To Purchase Your Tree

  1. Mark you tree location.
  2. Submit an application for a Tree Permit.
  3. If approved, a City Tree Specialist will notify you.
  4. Trees will be available for pickup at Vermillion Ace Hardware beginning April 21st. Trees are $25 each.
  5. Plant, care for, and enjoy your new tree!

Program Guidelines

  • Property that tree is to be planted in must be within City Limits.
  • The tree must be planted in the boulevard (that little strip of grass between the street and the sidewalk) or front yard.
  • There are 10 trees available for single family homes, 1 tree per property.
