ELIGIBILITY
To serve on any City board or commission, you must be a resident of Vermillion. If you are interested in serving on any of the boards/commissions listed below, please complete an Expression of Interest form that can be submitted via the City’s website.
HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
The mission of the Vermillion Historic Preservation Commission is to protect, preserve, and restore Vermillion’s historic and cultural assets through public education, workshops, and outreach to the community.

The City of Vermillion has three vacancies, due to term expiration, on the Historic Preservation Commission. The terms expire in September 2025. Expression of Interest Forms are due by Thursday, September 1, 2022. It is anticipated that the City Council will make appointments at their September 6, 2022 meeting.

TREE BOARD
The purpose of the Tree Board is to review, from time-to-time, conditions relating to tree and plant growth in the City and to recommend procedures and policies calculated to maintain and improve a healthy forestation program for the City.

The Tree Board currently has two vacancies. One term is to fill a vacated seat expiring in 2023. The other term is for two years and will expire in 2024. Expression of Interest Forms are due by Thursday, September 1, 2022. It is anticipated that the City Council will appointments at their September 6, 2022 meeting.
