Dakota Wesleyan University is once again offering a year-long Lecture Series on topics of contemporary interest.

The third of the series will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. in the School of Business, Innovation and Leadership on the DWU campus. Monica Rilling with the advocacy group Call to Freedom will be the featured speaker.  Call to Freedom provides support services for victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.  Rilling is the group’s Director of Community Engagement.  She oversees the volunteer program and also visits with churches, businesses, groups, etc. to share the group’s mission and vision and bring awareness to communities across the region.

Rilling’s lecture is entitled “Human Trafficking: The Problem and Response.”

The final event in the series this year will be held Tuesday, Mar. 28.  This Carhart Science Lecture will be part of a Sanford Underground Research Facility Day.  The evening event will present a community conversation on science with Constance Walter and Deb Wolf.

All presentations are free and open to the public. Each lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the School of Business, Innovation and Leadership, and will also be livestreamed at dwu.edu/live.  Check the DWU website events calendar or social media for updates.
