The Ron and Sheilah Gates Department of Music at Dakota Wesleyan University will sponsor a mini-tour of the Rapid City region Jan. 20-21.

The Highlanders vocal group will perform a 25-minute concert for the winter conference of the South Dakota American Choral Directors Association (SDACDA). 

The DWU group was selected through an audition process that consisted of a review of their previous recordings and concert programs. Also selected for the performance are SDSU’s Concert Choir, Pierre Riggs Chamber Singers, and the Black Hills Singers.

The Highlanders performance for the SDACDA will be Friday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Rapid City. 

The Highlanders will also give a concert Saturday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. at Canyon Lake United Methodist Church.  This performance is open to the public and is free of charge.
