March 28 Last Day for Ward 2 Voters to Register

Monday, March 28, marks the last day to register to vote in the April 12 municipal election. This year, only voters of Ward 2 will be going to the polls at City Hall to select the person to fill the open council seat. On the ballot are Steve “Charly” Waltner & Terry Waterman.

Continuing to represent Ward 2 with one year remaining in his term is Councilor Blain Saarie.

In Ward 1, Councilor Charles “Charlie” Gering filed a petition for a 2-year term & was unopposed. Councilor Lonnie Tjaden continues on the council with one year remaining in his term.

Council seats in Ward 3 will be filled by Councilor Tabitha Schoenwald who filed a petition for a one-year term & Doug Uecker who filed a petition for a 2-year term; both were unopposed. Ward 3 Councilor Terry Jacobsen did not seek re-election.

And, Mayor Michael Walter continues for a second 2-year term as mayor, a role he also served in 30 years ago.

The new council will be seated on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
