New Council Member Taking Office July 19
In July 5 council action, Mayor Michael Walter appointed Elizabeth Waltner to fill the Ward III seat recently vacated by Doug Uecker. Uecker is moving to a residence in another ward, making him ineligible to represent Ward III on the council. The appointment, which received unanimous approval from the current council members, is for a term of one year.
Waltner is employed as a physical therapist with Freeman Regional Health Services & is expected to take the oath of office on July 19.. She & her husband Drew are residents of Ward III in Freeman.
