During the week of April 18-22nd, 2022 the City of Mitchell will be collecting oversized items set out on the curb. To have these items collected, set the item or items on the curbside on the day your garbage is normally collected.

During the week of April 18-22nd, 2022 the City of Mitchell will be collecting oversized items set out on the curb. To have these items collected, set the item or items on the curbside on the day your garbage is normally collected. City crews will be around on that day and collect the items.
Items that will not be collected on the oversize item collection are as follows: Absolutely no Trees, Tree Branches, Tires, Batteries, Yard Waste and Large Quantities of Construction or Demolition Material.

 Example: If your normal day for (city garbage schedule) garbage collection is Wednesday, you would place your oversized items curbside that day. A separate city crew will collect those items on that day. 

Note: Collection of these oversized items will be curbside only. The fee to collect the curbside items will be $10.00 per Resolution 2021-23.

Landfill Hours for Spring Cleanup Week
 Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Tuesday & Thursday evening the landfill remains open until 7:00 p.m. Saturday April 16th and 23rd hours will be 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

During Spring Cleanup Week city residents will be able to dump pickup sized loads at the landfill free of charge. Batteries will be accepted at the Landfill office free of charge. Items that will be excluded are: Tires, special wastes and waste from commercial vehicles.
