Census Bureau: More men than women in Mount Vernon in 2020

Of the 500 people living in Mount Vernon in 2020, 43.6 percent (218) were women and 56.4 percent (282) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Southeast South Dakota News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 68. In the 65 and over age range, there were 28 females and 18 males.
