Census Bureau: More women than men in Irene in 2020

Of the 549 people living in Irene in 2020, 58.1 percent (319) were women and 41.9 percent (230) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Southeast South Dakota News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 29. In the 65 and over age range, there were 73 females and 34 males.
