Census Bureau reports Scotland population was 658 in 2020

Scotland had a population of 658 people in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Southeast South Dakota News.

The median age was 51, with 54.9 percent of the total population being female and 45.1 percent male.

The state's total population in 2020 was 879,336.
