Dakota Ace Hardware to give away American flags

Dakota Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

South Dakota lost 130 soldiers in the Korean war and 134 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 106 Main, Viborg will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW United Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Dakota Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Dakota Ace Hardware is located at 106 Main, Viborg, South Dakota. This location is owned by Bryan Miller, represented by Anne Drury and managed by Glenn Peterson.
