NOTICE OF HEARING - Application For Conditional Use Permit

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Vermillion Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in the Powell Conference Room, City Hall, 25 Center Street, Vermillion, South Dakota to consider an application submitted by Mr. Russell Jensen, for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a kennel at 1322 East Cherry Street, within the land legally described as follows:

Lot B & Lot E-7 SE ¼ SW ¼ NE ¼ 18-92-51; and, Exc Lots 5 & 6, Brooks Industrial Park Addition, City of Vermillion, Clay County, South Dakota

Such property is located within the GB General Business District.  Pursuant to the City of Vermillion Zoning Regulations, a Conditional Use permit is required for said use.

The applicant will appear at this hearing to provide the Vermillion Planning and Zoning Commission all the information required for issuance of a Conditional Use Permit for the proposed use under the City of Vermillion Zoning Ordinance, before such permit can be issued.  A copy of the application, including relevant maps and drawings, and information concerning the hearing process is available for review by the public at the office of the Zoning Administrator at City Hall, 25 Center Street, Vermillion, SD 57069 prior to the hearing.

All interested persons are invited to attend and offer their comments.  Those interested persons not able to attend are invited and encouraged to send written comments, prior to the hearing, to:
