The Agri-Business Committee of the Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Commodities Seminar to provide an informational and educational discussion focusing on today’s emerging opportunities with commodities such as soybeans and corn, with a focus on niche markets, climate smart practices, conservation programs and more!
The Commodities Seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, March 21, 2023, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Mitchell Technical College Tech Center Amphitheater, located on the West side of campus. The event includes a complimentary lunch and refreshments for all attendees. The event is free; however, pre-registration is required. The goal of this seminar is to provide an informational and educational discussion focusing on today’s emerging opportunities with commodities such as soybeans and corn, with a focus on niche markets, climate smart practices, conservation programs and more. Attendees will hear from experts from A1 Development Solutions, Farmers Trading Company, Farm Focused, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services, and POET. There will also be information available regarding agritourism, workforce solutions, and other valuable resources for producers. Our audience will consist of rural residents and producers, as well as students from Mitchell Technical College and other agricultural programs.
