14 coaches at institution in Davison County earned $50,725 on average in 2022

Davison County’s 14 coaches earned an average salary of $50,725 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the fifth lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at South Dakota post-secondary schools during 2022.

Davison County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $52,200 on average in Davison County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $49,250.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
