City of Freeman recently issued the following announcement.

In city council action Tuesday evening, March 1, councilor Terry Jacobsen moved to appoint Lisa Jensen as temporary finance officer; Lonnie Tjaden provided the second. All votes aye. The motion came following the executive session & authorizes Jensen – who currently serves as the administrative assistant at City Hall –  to oversee & engage in transactions on behalf of the City of Freeman in the absence of a finance officer.

Following the resignation of finance officer Doug Uecker, the council has advertised to fill the full-time position & is in the process of conducting interviews.
