Following the March 29 executive session, the Freeman City Council took action with regard to the position of municipal finance officer. Motion by Blaine Saarie, second by Lonnie Tjaden to hire Tobias Schanz as an independent contractor to serve in the role of interim finance officer, as needed, at a rate of $50 an hour, plus mileage.
